MISFI conducts series of Disaster Risk Reduction Management Trainings for local partners

(Davao City) METSA Foundation, a non-stock, non-profit organization, advocating organic farming and sustainable agriculture and Assumption College of Davao (ACD), a private school, tapped the services of Mindanao Interfaith Services Foundation, Inc. (MISFI) in its Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Training in the framework of Community-Based Disaster Management (CBDM) last October 13-15, 2016 and November 9-11, 2016 respectively.

18 participants coming from five farming community-beneficiaries of METSA Foundation while 24 participants of the Safety and Security Council of ACD participated the said training that tackled various modules such as basic DRRM concepts, preparedness, mitigation, emergency response and rehabilitation.

The two institutions were added to MISFI’s list of partners working for comprehensive disaster-related actions.

MISFI’s pool of trainors were Mr. Danilo Gumanao, Ms. Milagros M. Tan ,Mr. Donald Ray Cornelio, Ms. Genevieve Villegas, , Mr. Angelito Aspirin, Jr. and Mr. Carlo Padasas.
